The about us section is often difficult to write, but still I insisted that we include one (this is Karthi here).

Where should I begin? Peter and I are both native Southern Californians, and we___ve been married since February 2006. We both work in the field of Internet/eCommerce, which is how we first met in 2002.

Being web geeks, we felt it was appropriate to combine our geek talents to create this little piece of the World Wide Web. Peter is an excellent programmer and built the gallery from scratch. It definitely rivals any other photo gallery out there.

PeteandKarthi.com is intended mainly for our family and friends to view our photos and for us to showcase all the cool places we___ve been. I was bitten by the travel bug as a teenager the first time I saw the Taj Mahal and ever since I___ve wanted to see every famous structure and natural wonder I___ve read about in books. I___ve done a lot of traveling on my own (16 countries and counting), and thankfully, Peter is happy to continue the journey with me. His first trip out of the country was when we went to India in November 2006 and now he___s been bitten by the travel bug too. Work and school have slowed us down somewhat, but being able to travel is a privilege and definitely rewarding, and we hope we___ll always have the chance to explore for many years to come.

I___ve taken most of the pictures on the site, but Peter___s contributed some pretty good ones too! I___ve loved taking pictures ever since high school and have had photos featured in several publications. The cameras I use these days are a Sony Cybershot DSC-W50 and a Canon Rebel XT Digital SLR. Tripods get in the way, but maybe one day I___ll learn how to use one properly.

Besides travel and searching for the perfect photo, we enjoy hiking, watching funny movies and old TV shows, and hanging out with our adorable Australian Cattle Dog, Maui.
